Your memory deserves a place you control.

Second Brain runs in your own Cloudflare account. The database, search index, and service belong to your deployment.

In your account.
Built to stay yours.

The app sets it up for you. You keep access to the infrastructure and the source code.

See and change what’s remembered

Use the dashboard to browse memories, correct an entry, append an update, or permanently delete it. Export your memories to keep a copy outside the service.

Useful memory is something you can inspect. You don’t have to leave an old preference or an incorrect decision in place.

Your memory, day to day

Self-hosted on Cloudflare

Your deployment uses Cloudflare Workers, D1, Vectorize, Workers AI, and KV. The desktop app provisions those resources after you sign in.

This is cloud hosting in your own account, not storage only on your laptop. Cloudflare processes data needed to provide those services. Connected AI providers also receive the context their clients retrieve.

Choose which clients you connect and which sources you capture. A personal deployment is under your control; it does not make the AI providers you connect disappear from the data flow.

Private memory. Deliberate sharing.

For team use, each person has a private personal layer and access to the team’s shared layer. Memories are private by default. Sharing is an explicit action, and the author stays attached.

Admins manage access without reading other people’s personal memories. Each member connects with their own credentials.

Personal and shared layers on one Worker, private by default, at no extra charge; there is no paid team tier. See how that holds up next to Mem0 and Unabyss.

Free software, with real infrastructure

Second Brain is free and MIT licensed. There’s no Second Brain subscription and no paid tier to unlock.

Cloudflare’s free tier can cover personal use. Its limits still apply, and usage beyond them may cost money. Your AI client may also require a paid plan for custom connections.

Check your provider’s usage and plan requirements as your brain grows.

You can read the whole thing

The Worker, memory tools, and desktop installer are in the public repository. Fork it, inspect the code, or contribute a fix.
